Every now and then my mother prepares courses for the children. They live on a farm so it usually consists of a bale or two of hay and they always enjoy it!
I’m sharing some ideas for obstacle races we’ve done in the past that the kids have really enjoyed, as well as some ideas I’ve found for inspiration.

Dexterity obstacles – very easy. Just roll up the ribbon noodles. Don’t try to use any tape – it won’t work. And use more than you think you need or they will fall apart (I speak from experience!).

Balance sheet- we had a piece of wood that Joe nailed into small blocks. Ours is very simple. Use narrow wood if you can. You can also upgrade it for more challenge.
Water Balloon Race – Fill a bucket with water balloons and arrange the cones in a zigzag pattern. Children put water balloons on serving spoons into cones.
Hula hoop- Super simple fun accessory that makes hula hoops look great at warp speed.
Use a balloon tied with a marshmallow stick as a symbol. Clear, fun and easy! You can label or number them if you want.
