I first posted this list when we were all at home, but it quickly became one of the most requested resources on social media. Hundreds of parents struggling to keep their kids busy at home have reached out to me on Instagram asking for this list. This is an activity I did at home with my 2 and 3 year olds, and so do you.

Activities For 4 Year Olds To Do At Home
If you’re a parent currently working from home, finding ways to keep your kids entertained during the day can seem overwhelming, but with this list, you’ll have resources to help you through this difficult time.
The best way to use this list is to go through it the night before and choose 2 or 3 ideas that you think your kids will love and enjoy doing. Write it on the fridge for next day reference.
To reduce clutter when doing simple drawings or simple sensory tasks, use a bath! This is a great way to change your baby’s mood, and activities that are not enjoyable in the bath can be removed by changing the bath.

At Home Activities For Kids
Most supplies for these activities are things you already have at home and basic craft supplies like paints, brushes, colored paper, and scissors. What you don’t have is a pom-pom

This is what you can do when your child comes in and says, “I’m bored.” Most take 5 minutes or less to set up. While it’s hard to predict how long your child will play with this activity, they will probably play with this idea for more than 5 minutes!
You need Mega Blocks. Create indoor jump options for toddlers with megablocks. This is an easy and active activity that your child can help with!
Easy Board Games
You need a pillow and a car or truck. Build a rollercoaster track with their favorite cars and trucks.
You need toilet paper and toys. Take a toilet paper roll, take it out and put it in the last toy. Let the baby play and try not to drop the toys.
You will need snacks, paper and markers. Write their names on paper under each letter in the circle. Have your child place one snack in each circle and point to each letter and its sound. When they snack and eat, they do the same thing over and over again.
You will need socks and a wooden puzzle. Place the wooden puzzle pieces in a large sock and have your child come along to find the pieces and put the puzzle together.
Physical Activity For Children Under 5 Years During Covid 19: Play Your Way And Keep Moving While At Home.
You will need an animal and a small ziplock bag. Place the animal inside and ask the child to open it and let it go.
You will need white bread, food coloring and milk. Color the bread with edible paint and eat it! Check here for updates
You will need pompoms or sponges, two bowls and water. Find out how to set it up here.
Take a few pieces of elastic and ask the baby to pull on the legs. Don’t use too much and remove immediately after playing. This is a great way to wear socks. You can also use scrunch!
Daily Schedule • Ages 2 4
You will need pom-poms, Mega Bloks and tongs. Flip over the Mega Bloks and use them to color the pom poms.
Providing snacks? Why can’t this be turned into a task. All you need is embroidery thread and a needle, and some food soft enough to thread through the needle, through holes, or into fabric.
Grab some rubber bands and let your little one see how much they can wrap around the paper towel roll.
You will need ivory soap, microwaveable utensils and a microwave oven. Remove the elephant soap, place it in the center of the plate. Place in the microwave and heat for 1-2 minutes (approximately 1:30). Keep watching all the time because it’s happening fast!
Simple Snow Day Activities For 4 Year Olds
You will need a cardboard box. Take a piece of cardboard, put a small child behind it and pretend to be a dove. Can you hide in your shell? Decorate the outside of the shell with a label.
You will need cookies and small toys, pompoms or socks. Put in toys like bugs or LEGOs or pom poms or socks or cotton balls.
Learning all about science, technology, engineering, art and math sets kids up for academic success – and it can be fun! Watch as kids have fun building their STEAM skills by coloring friendly fish, helping water find tree roots, solving maze math problems, and more.
You will need a laundry basket and heavy items such as a sack of flour or a bottle of vinegar or oil. Put a few heavy items in the laundry basket and make sure your child can move it around like a garbage truck.
Speech Therapy Activities
You will need: plastic balls, cardboard boxes, soft toys. Place a plastic ball in a box at one end of the room or backyard and an empty box at the other. Place your favorite soft toy next to the empty box. Have your child take the ball with a spoon and pass it to the box next to the toy. They can pretend to feed the ball to an animal and then put it in a box. Repeat until all balls have been passed.
You need pipe cleaners and pets. Wrap a rubber band around your underwater or garden animal. Ask the child to open the animal to free it.
You will need a stick. You can use a broom or just duct tape and have your child imagine that this is a ladder that he needs to climb. Find more ways to play here
You will need: books and cardboard and scissors. Does your child enjoy returning books from library to library using the bookshelf? Well, the three of us made it, so I decided to turn it into a fun activity with cardboard boxes!
Simple Mess Free Toddler Activities To Do At Home With 2, 3 & 4 Year Old
You will need bubble wrap, masking tape, markers and a car. Use bubble wrap to make a big road for toy cars and trucks.
Small children use large balls to make the ball harder. Take empty water bottles or large lollipops and fill them with glow sticks. Install in a basement or room that can make it dark enough and let them try and figure it out!
Take the paper towel with the remaining towel. You can even add a toilet paper roll without covering the toilet paper. Record all of this action and have your little one build it up like a big block! We are doing some winter activities and removing the snow by adding buttons and hats.
You will need dish soap and dish soap, water, and a bowl. This bubble making activity is very easy for little ones and is a great way to burn off some energy. And a bonus bubble solution!! All you need is a fly swatter! Check here for updates
Preschool At Home: Science For 2 5 Year Olds (and Up!)
You will need blue colored paper, glue and cotton balls. Have the children draw clouds in the sky by gluing cotton balls to the blue colored cardstock.
You will need bowls and cups, water and a towel or sensory container. Fill bowls and cups with water and place them on a towel. You don’t need a lot of water to make this fun. Have your child sip water into the container. If you are doing this in an aquarium or outdoors, you can add more water! or even colored with food coloring!
You will need: spray paint and brown colored paper. Cut out the chocolate paper in the shape of an ice cream cone and tape it together. Inflate balloons Invite the little ones
